Stringfoto is Cris Stringfellow, photomedia artist and polymath entrepeneur. On March 24, 2010 Cris launched GIFFS[1] a project to develop a new polynomial time factorization algorithm for any integer. GIFFS is based on a novel representation for the natural numbers and employs an efficient algorithmic structure, the success of which depends on finding a function for transforming adjacent factorizations. GIFFS is currently seeking brain and computer power to solve one of the hardest, longest standing and most frustratingly embarassing problems of mankind. The GIFFS search is driven by the unbearable paradox of why counting on the integers can be so easy ( such as 31, 32, 33 ) but counting on their factorizations appears so difficult ( 31, 2.2.2.2.2, 3.11 ) ? GIFFS stands for Great Internet Fast Factorization search, and aims for successfull collaboration to solve a hard problem, in the same spirit as GIMPS.
