Regarding D. B. Cooper / Duane L. Weber. I am the widow of Duane L. Weber and I do NOT KNOW WHO GAVE YOU ALL THE INACCURATE INFORMATION. Blevins is a writer who did a book about Kenny Christainsen and yet you guys allow him to change ALL of the stuff to sell his book. Skip Porteous was the PI.

I have consented to few interviews and when they do they screw things up. There are NO books on Cooper and I have permitted none. I just want the information in this THING correct. AND CORRECTED. NO one except the FBI and Myself have the information and the FBI got many things wrong.

The only interviews that have been done in the public media that I had anything to do with was the Pensacola New Journal - they did 2 article and then they made mistakes they had to correct. Others where taken care of by long distance and they got FACT wrong and there is little right on Wikepedia. Weber was only in the navy for 3 months but did serve in the Navy (I have the papers). He served in several prisons for Forger and Grand larceny. Weber made his confess to me 11(eleven days) before he died and after he had removed himself from Diaylsis - a form of life support. Weber did NOT take a WALK along the Columbia. He walked DOWN to the water...in 3 locations. The WA trip was the last of Sept or the 1st wk of Oct. So we are talking 5 months before the money was found. Weber HAS NOT been alimiated as a suspect. Talk to the agent of record and not the FBI desk Clerks. Finger prints cannot match prints if the have 58 latent print they do not know belonged to Cooper. The use of these prints have long been discounted because they DO NOTKNOW WHO the belonged to. As Himmelsbach and the FBI has told me they could have been there since the plane was built or prints of airplance service personnel. I read a book about Cooper but it does NOT have his handwriting in it. We thought it was but after good comparison (I paid for myself) - it was determined it might not be his. I communicated with the writer of the Book and we had a long relationship and friendship about this book - he believed Clara was the exwife of Cooper. The sound of the voice and the syntex used by both parties. His book was fiction mixed with truths as he only had 6 phone conversations with Clara - he walked me thru the book at to truths versus facts. A lot of information has been found that would connect Weber to Cooper. The FBI HAS ADMITTED THAT THE DNA MAY HAVE BEEN COMPROMISED AND THERE IS NO WAY THEy CAN BE SURE THE DNA - WHICH AT BEST IS PARTICIAL IS SUFFICIENT TO RULE ANYONE OUT OR ANYONE IN. Because the chain of possession of the item was not kept - they do not know if the DNA on the tie belonged to Cooper. It could have been there since the tie was manufactured or on the sales floor or many other who touched to tie before and after the crime. The DNA might well belong to a sales clerk. FACT no FICTION. FACTS and only FACT will solve this case. I want correction about Duane made and I do NOT and CAN not do this myself. I do not know who put Weber in this - and if that person is the only one who can make the correction -GET THEM DONE NOW.

Yet, you allow a book writer to state things about Kenny Christiansen - the only places those things are written is in the book that Blevin who is the contributor of the information wrote...yet I can't correct minute detail about my husband that are TOTALLY incorrect. This man is writing a book and trying to sell it for GODS sake. I am the person who turned my husband in and I have never written a book and the things written about him in newpapers have errors - big time. I am asking that the article on Weber be factual - and NOT fiction or what someone else wants people to read regarding Cooper because they have their own agenda with a subject. The only verifialable articles on Christian are not FACT but the opinion of a writer who is doing a book or article for a paycheck. Spillway (talk) 04:45, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

Once again, Mrs. Weber, we need verifiable references -- anything you have in that regard, or know about, would be a big help.
I have to say, though, that based on what you say above, I don't see a whole lot we can change in the article. The inaccuracies you point out -- whether or not he was in the Navy, for example -- are irrelevant. What's the significant difference between "taking a walk along the river" and "walking down to the water?" And your husband's handwriting in Max Gunther's book was weakly circumstantial at best, and now you're saying it may not even be his at all! (I'd love to see a copy of that handwriting analysis, though, because Anne Faass has said she is positive it was his.) And by the way, I agree with you that Gunther got hoaxed by "Clara" -- but so does the FBI. Also by the way, nothing currently in the Christiansen section was written by Blevin or Porteous.
The FBI web site says it dropped its investigation of your husband in July 1998, and that more "conclusive evidence" would be needed to reopen it. It may indeed be true that the neither the latent prints nor the recovered DNA are Cooper's, but that's of no help in reopening the investigation. They need hard evidence. If you have any, I will be happy to help in any way I can. DoctorJoeE (talk) 20:10, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
