Brief Biography

edit

My name is Scott Pfitzinger. I am a librarian at University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. I am also a composer. Many of my compositions have been for handbells (some are available at Sonology Music [1], but I also have written pieces for various chamber groups, symphonic bands, and a capella choir. A full list of my compositions is available at my composer website, http://scottpfitzinger.com.

In February 2017, I had a reference book published by Rowman & Littlefield. It is a book of Composer Genealogies, listing dates, nationalities, teachers, and notable students of over 17,000 composers. I have also created a website published as an Open Educational Resource: http://playforddances.com/.

I am also active in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), where I am the local "dancemaster" and webminister for the Shire of Rokeclif. In the SCA I am known as Master Bruno Lachner.

Wikipedia Activity

edit

Because of my work with composer data, I find myself updating Wikipedia pages about them, especially regarding teacher-student relationships. I wrote the page for Frank Felice, which was my first full original article in Wikipedia.
