I hate it when I find myself writing typos. Then I fix them. Then I still have them. C'est la vie? Hah :)
I thoroughly enjoy contributing to the greater good of the Wiki project, especially in my areas of interest. I am hoping to add some love to pages that may otherwise get less attention while everyone else fights over how current events are portrayed (too much drama!)
After a year break, I have decided to rejoin after what felt like constant bullying. That user has now been indefinitely blocked for exactly that behaviour, so I hope this go around is more relaxed. I also hope that user eventually returns, having learned their lesson, with a more positive demeanor. They did good work-- but this place is not meant for aggression and attack. I will never fight back in that way no matter how provoked... I am here to spread love, knowledge, and help preserve a little history for those looking to find it! :)
I am not an expert by any means so advice or wisdom is always welcome. But I know the rules. I know how Wikipedia works and what it is for. No bullying or harassment will be tolerated. Please just be polite... and I'm SORRY in advance! (Hey, I AM Canadian)
I try my best to be a nice, open, and thoughtful contributor and member of the community. If you disagree with my arguments-- please let me know. I am always open to new ideas, and will always do my best to stay friendly no matter what opposing views we may encounter.
The quest to further knowledge, wisdom, and Eudaimonia, as Socrates put it—is to know that you know nothing.
Humility in acknowledging the limits to your perceptions is key to being the most knowledgeable person you can be. I believe this also applies to our Wiki mission. We are here to work together to further record and document the knowledge of our world. That is a sacred and beautiful mission.
I am looking for articles to contribute to that either are just in need of a grammatical or tonal rewrite, or have not been fully flushed out yet. I like contributing things to the community or fixing what's broken-- not trying to simply demolish upon first instinct. I am an inclusionist-- but I do my best to judge things by the specific rules cited in the official guidelines-- not what I personally feel they should or could be.
I believe in respect and friendship for all of us in the community. We are all friends here. I hope that I can be yours.
