Sammie Lee Hill, also known as "Mentor Hill" was born in San Francisco but was raised in north Richmond, California. He has been a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers" (ASCAP) since 1998. He is also a member of the "Songwriter's Guild of America" (SGA) as well. He wrote the Lyrics to the first-ever international signature "Mentor Theme Song" in world history. This amazing song, which is dedicated for all children across the Globe, was recently endorsed by the United Nations. Over the years, Sammie has acquired both national and international recognition for creating this inspiring song for children across the Globe! He received recognition from the White House (former President George W. Bush), the United States Congress, the State of California, numerous national and International Mentoring Organizations. He realized that he has placed his song on the world's map and has absolutely no doubts that song will eventually be performed/covered by a major artist. This incredible song has touched the hearts of many people around the world. Sammie is very confident that President Obama will also endorse this song as well. Sammie has recently teamed up with Ruben Gonzalez and Mark Gonzalez, which they created an inspiring copyrighted Educational Logo for the song hopefully to be place on Back Packs, T-Shirts, Sweat shirts, international Mentoring magazines and books. The primary objective for the project is to inspire and motivate children around the world to become positive role models. If interested, the logo can be viewed by Marketing Agencies upon request! Over the years, Sammie has been known as "Mentor Hill" not only for this popularity working with kids, but mainly for the 100's of students he had mentored while employed at Richmond High School as Community Relations. Sammie also created the "Student Principal of The Year" project in 2007 as well. This educational project was designed for high school seniors to perform as School Principal for an entire day and has been used in schools both on a national and international level. Sammie has also written additional songs with his Los Angeles co-writers, Dean Andre, who is also a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers. In fact, one of their songs (We can Change The World) will be the theme song for a motion picture film entitled "Space Camp" (One World, One Mission which is currently in development). Sammie has made a pledge to donate portion of the proceeds from his projects to schools, mentoring organizations and humanitarian services. Sammie has received an invitation from Pete DeLorenzo (Internationally Recognized Comedian, Impressionist, Actor, Recording Artist, Screenwriter, Producer, Director and Humanitarian also Ambassador in Chief of Goodwill for the World and for World Peace and Suffering Global Cooperation Day 2015) for upcoming Motion Picture "The Mentor" theme song.
