Early news edit

I've updated infos for SYTYCD VN. I am not so sure what is the correct name for the show. Temporarily at this time, it should be called Thử thách cùng bước nhảy prior to being changed to So You Think You Can Dance (Vietnam). I think it is good for both vietnamese and not vietnamese to search on Wikipedia English. Like many country in Asia, many franchises imported to Vietnam were entitled mixed name (in Vietnamese and in English). However, some prefers to be called in English like Vietnam Idol, The Voice, etc.. Some prefers to be called in pure Vietnames like Bước nhảy hoàn vũ (from Dancing with the Stars), Cặp đôi hoàn hảo (It Takes Two), etc. So you know what I means(!) it is hard to find a great article name at the time.

About the show, there are 23 episodes to be on air with 10 weeks live (1 semi+1 reveal show; 8 weeks+8 results show; 1 final show+1 grand finale) and 3 audition episodes, including HCMC week.

Permanent judge: only Chí Anh confirmed. No host, no other permanent judge confirmed.

Due to internet connection troubles, I'll send many references later. Check my update and fix it if any mistakes, thank you. Sincerely! TanPhat Nguyen talk- -contrb 08:00, 8 July 2012 (UTC).

As I mentioned above, vietnamese (we are) just use a part of the long-term mixed title (in both Vietnamese and English). No answer the better article name at the time. I've watched clips of conference on YouTube and heard that they would like to use just "So You Think You Can Dance" (excluding "Vietnam"). Thus, I prefer "SYTYCD". No naming convention rules are made for our circumstances, I just use the name that is quite familiar to TV viewer and is used more than the others (if any) to entitle the article in Wikipedia English.
For example of past and present show I've edited on En Wi:
About judges, I am confused now. Producers provide unorganised infos to public media, leading to very unclear or conflict info. But for clear, at the press conference producers emphasize there are only two permanent judges, including known Chí Anh from Bước nhảy hoàn vũ (DwtS) and the other female permanent judge which is in search to be determined soon.[1] Some sources rumor Khánh Thi also from Bước nhảy hoàn vũ.[2][3] Chí Anh will judge audition rounds and semi-final round alongside guest judge DJ Việt Max and John Huy Trần.[4] Moreover, there are always three people on judges' table at a time.[1]
MSBC means "voting number". TanPhat Nguyen talk- -contrb 10:13, 8 July 2012 (UTC).
I see, so two permanent judges and one guest judge during the live shows? That makes sense - the show seems to be basing its format almost precisely on the U.S. season 2-5. As to the title, I think you're right, we may end up using "So You Think You Can Dance (Vietnam)" in the long run. We could use "Thử thách cùng bước nhảy: So You Think You Can Dance" for accuracy and consistency with other shows in the franchise, but it would be pretty long for an article title. Hmmm, well let's see how it pans out. Thanks again for keeping us up-to-date! Snow (talk) 10:23, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
Thử thách cùng bước nhảy had better redirect to the main article name. I don't think Thử thách cùng bước nhảy: SYTYCD good enough because it is hell long and unnecessary. Do not move the article at this time, we don't know much about it. Stay calmed :D! TanPhat Nguyen talk- -contrb 10:36, 8 July 2012 (UTC).
Completely agree. We'll leave it at Thử thách cùng bước nhảy and wait to see what the official title is once the show premieres. Once the show starts, if it turns out to be called "Thử thách cùng bước nhảy/So You Think You Can Dance" we can move the article to So You Think You Can Dance (Vietnam) and redirect Thử thách cùng bước nhảy there. If it's another name, we can figure out the best article title then.

So, when show starts airing in September...
 · If show name =Thử thách cùng bước nhả then article title = Thử thách cùng bước nhảy (and So You Think You Can Dance (Vietnam) ----redirect----> Thử thách cùng bước nhảy)
 · If show name = So You Think You Can Dance then article title = So You Think You Can Dance (Vietnam) (and Thử thách cùng bước nhảy ----redirect----> So You Think You Can Dance (Vietnam))
 · If show name = Thử thách cùng bước nhảy/So You Think You Can Dance then article title = So You Think You Can Dance (Vietnam) (and Thử thách cùng bước nhảy ----redirect----> So You Think You Can Dance (Vietnam))
 · If show name = Some other title entirely then article title = Some other title entirely (and So You Think You Can Dance (Vietnam) ----redirect----> Some other title entirely)

Totally agree. I dont think new name would appear once it was confirmed at the press conference :D. It's never happened before in the vietnamese history of broadcast. TanPhat Nguyen talk- -contrb 10:59, 8 July 2012 (UTC).
LOL! The producers over there have a hard time making up their minds, huh? Snow (talk) 11:08, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
I don't know. Sometimes I wonder whether they have their own brains :D. TanPhat Nguyen talk- -contrb 11:23, 8 July 2012 (UTC).
It could always be worse, my friend. :) Snow (talk) 11:31, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
I don't know what will happen with the show. But I hope that there might be some day we have truly good shows. I don't want them to be cancelled soon or on hiatus after one season. Vietnam's Got Talent failed to impress audience, so it is on hiatus and no more season confirmed. I am bored to death to read scandals day by day online. I just want and desire something good to watch. You have interest with SYTYCD, then I'll join hands helping you :D. TanPhat Nguyen talk- -contrb 11:41, 8 July 2012 (UTC).
I certainly appreciate it. I do most of the SYTYCD pages by myself - it gets lonely. ;) And having a fact checker who knows all of the media news sources over there will prove very helpful. Maybe as we go along we can do some other articles too. I like to translate articles from other Wikipedias and it would be great to do some Vietnamese pages. But anyway, yeah, I love SYTYCD. I'm not a huge reality/competition TV watcher in general, but I watch this one whenever I can. By the way, in case you didn't know, some of the shows post their episodes online on their official sites for free now. Or they put them on Youtube sometimes. Snow (talk) 11:57, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
Yeah I know. But I don't use YouTube to watch shows from UK/US. I have some pages uploading every single episodes very quickly, maybe only after 4-5 hours airing (local time). There is a vietnamese channel on YouTube briefly uploading famous shows, I'll share you someday so as for you free to watch :D. TanPhat Nguyen talk- -contrb 12:02, 8 July 2012 (UTC).

Awesome! Glad it's finally under way, and the article is really starting to shape up; it's good to have one of the non-English versions so well detailed from the start -- in this case thanks to your effort. :) Snow (talk) 02:43, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
My pleasure ^^! TanPhat Nguyen talk- -contrb 13:55, 17 September 2012 (UTC).

Nice work on the HCMC Week chart; very thorough! Snow (talk) 07:06, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

Please help me with the background music! I don't know that much. TanPhat Nguyen talk- -contrb 13:55, 7 October 2012 (UTC).
Unfortunately, I haven't seen the episode, but if/when I do I'll be sure the fill in the chart! Snow (talk) 12:57, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the encouragement. I am doing what I can 'til the article is fulfilled. I am so sure about that! Sincerely :D TanPhat Nguyen talk- -contrb 12:39, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
