As prompted: I am starting a page called User:Smmary

Hi, I am Mary Fualaau.

I am attempting to start a talk page regarding the facts in WP article Mary Kay Letourneau. I am the subject, so there seems to be caution by editors to accept my edits. Honestly, I'm not familiar enough with Wikipedia mechanics to do anything except add a basic correct fact and remove an incorrect fact. I have not learned how to add citations, or even to check an existing citation's reliability (finding the original copy in my own storage would take days). However, I realize I (or some editor) need to prove how a certain fact is being used out of context by another editor, etc. Or worse of a dilemma, many articles and publications used in my WP article are a sensationalist versions and with a base of incorrect facts. There were so many first publications/articles 10 -18 years ago with factually errors that my attorneys were entirely overwhelmed with that time consuming damage control, especially when there were more vital urgencies on other fronts. In later years, with the help of my attorneys, I would not partake in an interview until/unless they agreed to correct archived incorrect facts.

I get that it is hard to argue with a good editor who can verify his/her position with a reference or two or even three. In legal terms though, a better editor might find that the majority of the references are the "fruit of the poisonous tree". Funny that both Vili and I can testify regarding certain facts (of which only we would know), and a stranger will speak up and point to a "better" source of the truth, and even call our corrections to mainstream media facts - a COI.

I apologize I do not know how to use Wikipedia as an experienced editor. I even apologize that I am the subject of the article to have to push accuracy. I do have an interest in the correct facts; and for the most part, I'm not really proud of the correct facts, but, since certain facts have to be put out, at least they should be correct for history sake.

So won't some editor or administrator please let me help. Tell me how I can help with the facts (and reliable sources). I have a good feeling about the integrity of Wikipedia editors, I just need to know how to be involved- upfront or from behind.
