editC. H. Maidment, or Colin Maidment was an Irish badminton player in the 1930s, while also playing rugby and cricket in his youth. He served as the President of the Midland Branch of the Badminton Union of Ireland (BUI), and was the honorary secretary of the BUI. He was one of the organisers of the building and opening of the first custom badminton hall in Ireland since the 1920s, at Whitehall, Dublin. He died in May 1955 from a heart attack after a minor operation.[1]
