- I found a source I think my be useful adding to this article. It is an art exhibit in riverside featuring paintings representing indigenous futurism by colored artists calling attention to their roots and where they came from. [1]

- I found this, which talks about the creation of a definition, which could be useful for creating the opening paragraph, where it talks usually about the history and the basic definition of the subject - Hayden

Outline of proposed changes
edit- Lots of these artworks show how in touch people are with their roots and the importance of nurturing the culture they share, Some are depictions of family trees or the passing on of traditions from one generation to another. The website has a link to the images of some of the art pieces.
- I think that this would be very beneficial to add to the visual art section of the indigenous futurism article, the section seems kind of brief and looks like it could be expanded on with something more recent so I think that this is a good place for the addition to be placed.
- For now I think this paired with the other sources the group finds will be quite strong, however I will continue looking for other sources that could possibly contribute to other sections of the article as well.
- I think that we should add an entire section of the article solely dedicated to analyzing works of fiction we've read in class. Indigenous futurism is a genre of reading after all, and giving the reader context on examples could be really helpful, we could also give some thought as to who pioneered indigenous futurism, and examine how the genre has changed since it was invented. -Hayden
- We should also decide on what kind of definition we want to use on indigenous futurism together, before we start writing on anything, because I feel like it will inform all of the decisions we make on what we write in the future. -Hayden
- Should we include a list of prominent examples of indigenous futurism? That would help point readers into specific directions. -Eric
Now that you have compiled a bibliography, it's time to plan out how you'll improve your assigned article.
In this section, write up a concise outline of how the sources you've identified will add relevant information to your chosen article. Be sure to discuss what content gap your additions tackle and how these additions will improve the article's quality. Consider other changes you'll make to the article, including possible deletions of irrelevant, outdated, or incorrect information, restructuring of the article to improve its readability or any other change you plan on making. This is your chance to really think about how your proposed additions will improve your chosen article and to vet your sources even further. Note: This is not a draft. This is an outline/plan where you can think about how the sources you've identified will fill in a content gap. |
