Susan Orr-Klopfer is the author of "The Emmett Till Book" and "Where Rebels Roost, Mississippi Civil Rights Revisited." She also wrote"Abort! Retry! Fail!" (Prentice Hall), a Book of-the-Month Club alternate selection. She holds an MBA degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and a BA degree from Hanover College. She is a former acquisitions and development editor for Prentice Hall and has won journalism awards for her investigative reporting in Missouri. Orr-Klopfer lived on the grounds of Parchman Penitentiary in the heart of the Mississippi Delta for two years while she researched and wrote her Mississippi books.
