Yes,that's right.Motorsports in India was originally introduced in 1904.It took really a lot of time for Motorsports in India to Settle down. 1904 was the Year when we saw the First Race taking Place on Indian Soils. The First Indian Road Race was conducted in 1904,by The Motor Union of Western India.The 810 Miles long Race was Flagged-Off from Delhi and their destination was Bombay(Mumbai).In this race, different class Winners were awarded Trophies and a Special Prize was given to the Car which reached Bombay in the Best Condition.Each Driver was accompanied by an Observer to record the number of Stops made "EnRoute".The car which made the least Number of unauthorised halts was declared the Winner.That was the time when there were No Governing Body administering the sport.So,there were "No Rules & Regulations".
