Namibian Marine Life

The Namibia coastal water are some of the richest fishing ground in the world, due to the cold Benguela current which flow northward from Antarctic. [1]

It is exceptionally high in quantities of plankton, which account for the abudance of anchores, pilchard , macketers and other white fish. Commercial fishing and fish processing is the fastest growing sector of the Namibian economy in terms of employment, export earning and contribute to GDP.

The Namibian Marine life is mainly made up of

  1. Dolphin[2]
  2. Sharks
  3. Whale
  4. seals

This are found at the coastal region/ town example Swakopmund[3], Walvis Bay and Henties Bay
