Bio

Shayna made her professional debut on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera at the age of 6 years old, as a dancer in Eugene Onegin, and has since appeared in Il Trittico, Cavalleria Rusticana, Der Fliegende Hollander, Nixon in China, with singing roles in Queen of Spades, La Boheme, Tosca, Carmen, and Parsifal. Shayna began her piano studies at age three and was admitted to the prestigious Special Music School in Manhattan in 2007 and attended K-5. In 2011 Shayna began studying under Eugenia Betman of the Georgian State Conservatory. In 2012 Shayna won second prize in the Young Pianist Competition of New Jersey solo division, and performed in Carnegie Hall. She received a merit scholarship to the Frost School of Music 2013 summer camp at the University of Miami. Shayna has performed community service through her many recitals at nursing homes,assisted living facilities and numerous venues city-wide. She received a scholarship to the University of North Carolina School of Arts Summer Voice Intensive for 2016. She is a recognized honor student level 7,8,9, and 10 for Florida State Music Teachers Association. For the 2013, 2014 ,2015 and 2016 seasons she has been and remains a BEL CANTO/CANTATE member of The Young Singer of The Palm Beaches.
