Sharné McDonald is an artist and graphic designer in Cape Town, South Africa. She is intrigued by the idea of art as a job and what it is that constitutes the work of art as a work of art. She looks into these thoughts through the use of administrative processes, attempts at innovation and engineering, drawing and building things.

After completing her BA Fine Art (UCT) in 2014, she worked as a junior graphic designer at FelineGraphics in Cape Town. She applied to study her Master of Contemporary Art in Norway, but failed the interviewing process and started a business instead.

As a digital designer, she ran her one-woman company Founder Digital Design from her home office until September 2017, creating brands for her wide variety of clients. She abandoned this endeavour along with her 2 other jobs to pursue a career at a fast-paced tech startup called Hi5.

She is a keen copy-writer and -editor and finds the Wikipedia contribution concept fascinating.
