Omungwelume settlement
editVillage is a group of houses in a community situated in rural area whose size is between a helmet and a town. Omungwelume is a small village situated in Northern part of Namibia in the Ohangwena region.It is 583km north of Windhoek. It is named after the tiger's that used to stay in this village around the mid 20th century, and the well known name of this village is 'Omungwelume waShikongo' since Shikongo was the first headmen to this village. It is a beautiful place full of natural resources. The most interesting thing about this settlement is that people have ethical manners towards each other they love and treat others with respect in short they respect their moral standard.
This village fall under oukwanyama tradition authority in Ohaingu section. There are schools Eengedjo secondary school, omungwelume junior secondary school and Omungwelume primary school,clinic,prison,community hall,shops and there is also a place called 'Tutungeni pamwe' people housing were a lot of better house are build.
