Dr. Shad Bano Ahmad (Urdu: شاد بانو احمد, Hindi: शाद बानो अहमद ), was a Professor at the Department of Sociology at Aligarh Muslim University. She is revered, remembered and renowned for her stint as the First & the Only Lady Proctor, as of 2021, at the central varsity from 1996-1999, during the Vice-chancellorship of Mehmoodur Rehman. Being an adamant administrator and an able academician she has served the varisty with innumerable contributions, both inside and outside the walls of the campus. She is a speaker in English, Hindi, Urdu and French language and a prolific writer. She is regular writer and is author of several articles, research papers, chapters in the edited books on socio-political issues of national and international importance.
