The Connecticut Policy Institute is an independent non-partisan think tank on Connecticut government. It was founded by Tom Foley in 2011. The Institute describes its mission as “developing responsible, research driven public policy for Connecticut.” The work preformed by the Institute is crucial since it provides Connecticut residents with policy recommendations based on methodically preformed research.

The CPI’s work has focused on economic policy and education policy. It has released papers on job creation, education reform, ballot initiatives, and pension reform. The Institute's work has been covered in the Wall St. Journal, Education Week, and CT media [1] They have also hosted three events in the state, including an address on education reform by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush
