I have decided to address two articles one that is titled "Homosexuality in Sports" and the other is "Boyfriend". Some ideas I have for the first article is to evaluate some personal interviews from players that have come out and to address issues that homosexual people have after they come out as well as the reasoning for hiding it for so long. One player in particular I was thinking of addressing was Michael Sam who plays in the NFL. Then delving deeper into the psychological aspect of homosexuality in sports.
For the "Boyfriend" article I want to go deeper into the history of what it means to be a boyfriend and how things have changed over time, especially with gay marriage now legalized and how there are still issues with discrimination on gay relationships.
One article that I found corresponds to what a healthy relationship should be whether it is homosexual or heterosexual. [1]
The Bingham Cup was created in 2002, in dedication to Mark Bingham who was a homosexual rugby player, as a world cup for international homosexual rugby teams.
Michael Sam a Professional Football player became the first person to publicly come out as gay on draft day
Northern California Rugby Football Union allows teams made up of homosexuals to play in the league. Is recognized by USA Rugby union as well.

Homosexuality in modern sports
Athletes sexually attracted to other people of their same gender have faced less and or worse treatment in sports today because of society's discrimination or inequality to homosexual people. Often times athletes, who are gay, choose not to disclose this information during their career or even their whole lives due to the overwhelming judgement of people in today's society. However, there have been several famous athletes that have publicly announced their homosexuality such as Billy Bean a US Major League Baseball player, Sheryl Swoops WNBA player, and Billy Jean King a professional tennis player. There are now more athletes coming out due to the fact that more equality for gay rights have been made such as Michael Sam, Robbie Rogers, Brittany Griner, and Jason Collins.
Beginning in the 1980's, Tom Waddell a gay decathlete created the first Gay Games hosted in San Francisco. [2]
