Comedian Serena Monay (Serena Watkins) is a United States Navy veteran, turned stand-up comedian. After serving 5 years in the United States Navy, Serena Watkins returned home Spring 2016, and decided to become a stand-up comedian and try her luck to fame. Her first time on stage was alongside “The Destined Legend”, Leon Rogers, where he encouraged her to keep going, and the rest is history.
PTSD is a serious sickness among U.S. Navy Veterans. Serena Monay spreads PTSD Awareness by using jokes, and talking about her experiences in the military, and transitioning from the military into civilian life. She hopes to encourage service members to not only stay alive, but to follow your dreams. Hoorah.
Comedian Serena Monay started stand-up comedy in September of 2018 and has been rising to the top very fast. Not only has she been traveling all over the United States, she has been featured by your favorite comedians, Deray Davis, B. Cole, and Corey Holcomb. She has also been featured in SXSW ’19 and Chicago Women’s Funny Festival. Catch her soon in a city near you, you won’t be disappointed.
