Gameplay:

One of the major differences from previous Total War games is how the Lords function. Firstly Lords are now individual and powerful units without the bodyguard present in previous Total Wars. The second change is the added importance of skill trees and equipment which can add a great deal of power to the Lords and the army they command.[1]

DLC:

So far there have been four DLC packs released in 2016, two race mods, one graphic mod and one unit mod. The second to be released was the "Blood for the Blood God" DLC which adds blood to the game play as well as an array of events centered around making the game more bloody such as an event that gives a charge bonus to all units.[2] The third DLC pack to be released was "Call of the Beastmen". This race is made up of men corrupted by chaos and includes new units, such as the Minotaur. The mechanics for the race are similar to that of Chaos in that the player controls a horde. A horde refers to when the player's army and settlement are one and the same. This means that the army is essentially a moving settlement,. Beastmen also have a brayherd mechanic which is similar to the Orc's waaagh!. The brayherd mechanic is when the player can raise an extra allied computer controlled army for free upon raiding and winning enough battles[3]. The latest DLC released in 2016 is the "Grim and the Grave" which adds a new mechanic called regiments of reknown. This mechanic adds units to both the Empire and Vampire Counts, who can be raised as mercenaries (limited to one of each) based on the player's highest level lord. It also adds two new legendary lords Volkmar the Grim and Helman Ghorst[4].

Sequels

Warhammer Total War is going to be split up into three parts with the next two parts being released an unspecified time in the future.[5]

Great edit for your article. I like how you included useful information to make the article more informational and interesting. You also included a variety of sources which helps give credibility to what you wrote. I suggest that you add more information on the gameplay section to explain better the Lords Functions. Overall good work. Carocasalduc (talk) 01:11, 14 October 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice I will make sure to add more information so it's clear how Lords function differently from previous Total War games.
