Michael Costigan (born January 2nd, 1993) is an American youth motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and author.[1] Michael began professionally speaking at age 17. He was the recipient of a Youth Venture Grant from Ashoka in 2007 for his work as a young entrepreneur at madFusion.[2] Starting in 2008 Michael became an active columnist for RadicalParenting.com[3] where he writes advice for parents from a young person's perspective and YoungEntrepreneur.com[4] where he writes on various business and startup topics. In 2011 Michael was named 'Young Business Leader of the Year' by the National Financial Educators Council[5] and featured on NPR[6].
Michael is represented by Premiere Speakers Bureau for speaking and TripleDot Talent Management for media relations.[7]
