On the Internet, I've been known as Scoop0901 since the late 1980s. Yes, that means it pre-dates AOL. It was used on many BBS', as well as other forums, and dates back to the days when the information highway was restricted to government users, researchers, and higher education.
In real life, I am generally known as Dave Jackson, and online, I go by the moniker Dave J. (Scoop0901). After having spent more than 20 years in the news industry, mostly as a reporter and editor, as well as several years doing design and layout using PageMaker and QuarkXPress, I left the corporate world in 1995 to work freelance.
