Vao first gained recognition as a young youth who never had dreamt of becoming what he is today. His first achievement was entering Tonga High School (2000) the leading High School in academics for the whole of the Kingdom of Tonga, finished from a New Zealand program with an in-country scholarship retrieving his Diploma in Business from Tupou Tertiary Institute (2009). He then went abroad for a higher degree attained from Zhongnan University of Economics & Law (2015) with a degree in Accountancy.
As a public figure, Sam has been cited as one of the most influential and powerful people in the Tongan Youth as a whole, as well as the world's most attractive man, as most of his Foreign Friends said. His personal life is also the subject of wide publicity. Have been in several relationships all failed, but that doesn't pull him back from achieving his dreams.
Only son of David Vao and Jane Odorose Vao.
