Charmant is a city in Illinois founded by J.R. Morris on 24 August 2019 after he found 3 areas that no city claimed, in which he claimed those 3 areas as the City of New Vista. On 2 January 2020, he renamed the city to the City of Charmant. Charmant being the french word for lovely.
History
editThe area that is now Charmant was originally a Cook County Forest Preserve and 2 unclaimed areas near Oak Forest, Illinois.
On 4 October 2018, J.R. Morris originally claimed the 2 areas near Oak Forest as the Village of Newtopia. He later abandoned the project.
On 24 August 2019 he brought back the project under the name "New Vista" and claimed the 2 areas near Oak Forest, and claimed another larger unclaimed area near Crestwood, Illinois and Orland Park, Illinois.
On 2 January 2020, J.R. Morris renamed the city to Charmant, which is the french word for lovely.
