Brodha V is an Indian Hip Hop artist , born as Vighnesh Shivanand and based in Bangalore, India.He is a very much known person in genres like Hip Hop/Rap/Pop. Hip Hop, which originated amongst the African American communities in New York, is also largely associated with Rap and tends to denote the current trend! He is an active person in Hip Hop industry of India since 2008. Setting out to begin a new trend of Hip Hop and Rap in India, Brodha V is from The Machas With Attitude (MWA)Machas_With_Attitude, a popular Indian Hip-Hop crew. He is an important part of (MWA) from 2008 , Brodha V draws inspiration from 2pac Shakur, Rakim, Big L, Big Pun, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Nas, DJ Premier, AR Rahman, Timbaland, and NWA stalwarts in the industry. Besides being a performing artist, he is also a composer, programmer, sound engineer, lyricist, scriptwriter and a film maker. As a part of the MWA crew, he has worked for over 40 films in India. He has collaborated with Times Music, etc. for various events organized by them and has also been a part of an album presented by Think Music India.

Known as the fastest rapper of India, Brodha is also famed for his versatility and is a multilingual vocalist. Starting out in the world of music at the tender age of 17, he started composing songs and doing shows irrespective of restraint. His recent track, titled ‘What Have You Done’, has attained him international acclaim.

The man who claims that Hip-Hop is alien to India, introduced the country to the music and has carved a niche for himself. The musician has been through a string of rough patches in his teenage years and depicted the same in his single, ‘Aathma Raama’. The song that combines Carnatic music with Hindustani Classical music was widely appreciated by music fans compelling Brodha to launch a video for the same.
