Creating an account
editThere is anonymous users without accounts. Creating an account is much better than editing without an account. When you create an account, you can write articles, edit some protected pages, have a talk page, a user name and a password. Anyone can open your computer, open Wikipedia and make bad edits with your IP. Also, talk pages and user pages are very important. When you make an account, you make edits. And some times, you get feedback. The feedback will tell you either your edits are good or bad. And this is a very important step for new members.
Editing pages
editWhen you search for an article, you might find the article you'r looking for. But you notice that doesn't have so much information, and that you can add some information to improve it. You can edit pages by clicking the link at the top of the screen "Edit". You might also want to see the history of the page. Next to the "Edit" link, you will find another link; "View history". Click on it and it will open the history of the article. This page will contain editors name and their edits.
Adding sources
editAdding sources is like writing links. ً When you create an article, you have to add some sources. If you used a website to write a part of your article, write
- <ref>Your Source</ref>.
Creating an article
editWhen creating an article, avoid writing "Me", "You", "We", etc. Also, avoid writing an article to talk about yourself, a band you like, a company, etc. Wikipedia articles are about famous people like actors and singers.
