I, User:Sadads, recently started an internship at the United States Army Center of Military History (CMH), and upon hearing of my interests in Wikipedia, my supervisor asked me to make edits on their behalf. The CMH being a Cultural Institution, under the definition provided at WP:GLAM, I accepted within the conditions specified at GLAM for cultural institutions. I told them that I would not make any edits that would not be beneficial to the goals of Wikipedia. In this conflict of interest statement, I, Alex (User:Sadads), vow not to make any edits with undo BIAS, create sock puppet accounts, SPAM or edit war. My main edits for the CMH will consist of the following activities:

  • Creating links to reference materials hosted by the Center, an institution whose publications have good reputation amongst United States Military History scholars
  • Enhancing article quality using references made available at the CMH website
  • Uploading Public Domain media from the CMH, a United States Government organization, for beneficial use in articles
  • Expanding sections of articles using Public Domain text from the CMH
  • Making more accurate references to the CMH website

It is my hope that the above activities will give me a foothold to create a future relationship between the CMH and Wikipedians, hopefully as supportive cooperation between Wikipedians and the CMH in enhancing Wikipedia articles. That being said, I am willing to modify my editing behavior based on problems cited by other Users or any additional conflicts with Wikipedia guidelines, in order to make this relationship more clearly defined and long lasting. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I appear to be going against my declaration. Sadads (talk) 19:05, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
