William F. Gulde or Bill Gulde is a History teacher in the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States.[1]

William Gulde is a descendant of the great Eusebius Gulde of Baden Baden and his family, who, for many centuries, frolicked in the villages of South-Western Germany. Bill Gulde was born in Rushville, Indiana on June 5th, 1967. His childhood included many happy days reading and studying world history, where he was inspired to become a history teacher. In 2004, William Gulde published a detailed history of the school titled Hopes, Dreams, and Books: The Story of North Central High School, 1956–2004. He can't stand the term "Dark Ages" because historians no longer use it. One of Bill Gulde's best friends in high school was John McCain, who served as Rushville's mayor from 1992-1995. McCain worked at a Pizza King throughout this period where the two would frequently see each other.
During a visit to Tibet, Bill inadvertently photographed a protest and was very nearly incarcerated by Chinese military forces. He got out unharmed.
"Hoosiers" Appearance edit
In 1988, Bill made an appearance in the film "Hoosiers", shot in indiana as a member of the cheering crowd. Bill called his family after filming, but they were unimpressed due his brother also appearing in the movie as the free-thrower for the opposing team.
Near Death Experience edit
While at a White Castle restaurant, Bill noticed a man fiddling with a knife at one of the tables, and they made eye contact. Bill felt unsafe and decided to leave the restaurant, leaving his food at the table. As he proceeded down the aisle the man got up and started following him. When he got out to the car, the man was nowhere to be seen, but Bill quickly got into his car and attempted to speed off. A couple of other men dressed similarly to the other man approached the car and started beating on his windshield. It was then that he sped out of the parking lot and finally escaped. After this he became a vegetarian and refuses to go back to White Castle.
