Ana Carcani Rold is a publisher and trailblazer from the Washington D.C Metro area. She is the Founder and CEO of the Diplomatic Courier, which is a global affairs media network as well as Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of the Learning Economy Foundation. Ana serves as adjunct faculty at Northeastern University teaching comparative politics. In 2012, Ana Founded the Think Tank World in 2050 to bring together business and policy leaders with innovators and solutionists working on the tough challenges facing humanity's future.

Under Ana's leadership;

1) The Diplomatic Courier delivers thoughtful and insight-driven opinion pieces, researched articles and special topical editions to policy makers and business leaders in both, print and online formats.

2) The World in 2050 virtual think tank convenes multi-stakeholders in the private and public sectors through a series of global summits and forums, research papers and reports, and digital and print media. In 2020, faced with the COVID-19 pandemic leaving no part of the world untouched, the World in 2050 is turning its focus to delivering its entire range of offerings virtually.

3) The Olympics of Innovation brings together innovation-makers solving tough problems for humanity and from regions that don't get a lot of limelight with those in a position to champion and support their journey to make a real impact.

4) The Learning Economy is using exponential technologies like blockchain to shape a learner-centric Internet of Education.

Ana received a Master’s in International Peace and Conflict Resolution, with a focus on Alternative Dispute Resolution at American University and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs at Northeastern University.  She speaks five languages.

Philosophy

For fifteen years, through her work at the Diplomatic Courier, the World in 2050 and most recently, through the Learning Economy, Ana has written, taught, and spoken about the big trends of our century. Her advocacy and mentorship on behalf of women and women's global issues extends around the globe. During 2012's inaugural cohort of women fellows of First Lady Mrs. Laura Bush's Women's Initiative, Ana was invited to serve as a mentor. Since 2011, she has served as a member of the Women's Democracy Network (WDN) Advisory Council where she convened the Pakistan-Afghan Women's Forum for Peace and Democracy. Ana's investment into inclusion and a thriving future for all is reflected in the Diplomatic Courier's philosophy which states-

Provocative and evocative articles with titles like, When Companies Act Like Governments, The End of Privacy, Global Action Report feature among her extensive works. Since 2009, Ana has served as the Editor-in-Chief of the annual leadership publications of the G7 Summit (formerly the G8), the G20 and B20 Summits, and APEC Summit.  She has led the editorial production of these publications for the summits in Italy, Canada, South Korea, the United States, France, Germany as well as NATO in the United States, the G20 in Mexico, and the APEC Summit in Vietnam, Philippines, the United States and Russia. Ana is the recipient of the 2018 American Women for International Understanding (AWIU’s) Internationalism Award for her exceptional work as an advocate for women’s global issues and a mentor to women leaders at home and abroad. She is a member of the National Press Club (NPC), an Advisory Board Member of the Center for Education Diplomacy, and an Advisory Board Member of the Council of Women’s Democracy Network (WDN) in Washington, DC.
