Mokaleng combined school
editThis school is located in the Kalahari Desert closed to the big salt pan near the Botswana border in the Eastern part of our country. It is a multilingual boarding school with 540 students in grades one through ten.The school was established in 1920 and the first students were only 60, these students mostly were from Huqus and Tuqus villages about seven kilometers away. This school is also served by Catholic sisters from 1940. Currently the school has now over 500 students, four hostels blocks each with its own washroom and twenty classrooms. There are 15 teachers, four hostel parents and several other workers. There are also 4 missionary sisters of the Immaculate Conception, two from Germany and two from Namibia. These two sisters from Germany are there for long time and now they are old, they are really just like parents to most of the students, as they are caring and loving[[1]
