Ondado village

Ondado is a village in the northern part of Namibia in Oshikoto region The village is in the district of of ondonga (5.3) km west of Oniipa close to Onandjokwe Lutheran Hospital. The village was founded in 1903 under the rule of Nauyala Libama and it is the most densely village in Oniipa, dominated by the Ovambo language speaking people. The village is well known because of the large perennial dam called "Dam of Bama" which is named after the founder of the village Nauyala Libama.The dam is used for watering vegetables especially maize,washing cars,swimming competition and for building construction.There are also fish in the dam, most of the people in the village depend on the dam.citation needed Ondado village is also close to Oniipa church which was founded by former Lutheran bishop and Liberation Leader Leonard Auala in 1908. There is a new development constructed at Ondando village. They are building a Puma survice station to make it easy for users around the village.
