Ryan Ross Smith, born 1979, is an American composer, performer and educator located in the Catskill Mountains of New York State. Since the early 2000s he has been involved in numerous musical projects as composer and/or performer, and has worked in television, film, radio, modern dance and podcasts. He is best known for his compositional and research work on Animated Music Notation. Smith is currently an Assistant Professor of Audio Arts at the State University of New York at Oneonta.
