A shit test is a concept in dating and pickup according to which women "test" men that are flirting with them, by asking them to do something that would undermine their self-respect. The man fails the test if he takes it serious and gives a defensive response based on logic, instead of reacting in a funny, provocative, unexpected or any other way that keeps up the sexual tension, yet is true to the man's self. The purpose of the test is to figure out the man's true motivation.
