I live in Chicago, Illinois. I have a background in journalism, history and library and information science. My skills include editing, researching, interviewing and writing, both academic papers and news stories. I am intrigued by the American Civil War and all things related to the 16th U.S. President. After all, I do live in the "Land of Lincoln." My interests, other than history, include animal welfare, genealogy, photography and children's literature. I also enjoy films, particularly those by Terrence Malick, the American film director and screenwriter.
