Dr Rosalind Howes is a Postdoctoral Researcher investigating the epidemiology of human genetic traits which influence malaria control and elimination policy. She is particularly interested in the potentially lethal haemolytic risks associated with administering primaquine to individuals with G6PD deficiency, and the transmission dynamics of P. vivax in Africa where the Duffy negative blood type is highly prevalent.
