Rosa is a name that stands for a gracious and poised nature. One that excels in executive positions and is capable and clever. Rosa Mendicino is nineteen years of age where she currently in her second year at the University of Ottawa, Canada. Throughout her university career as a Communications major, and minor in Italian her dreams have developed over time to travel the world and see all that she is capable of. The horizons are within us and she wishes to spend every waking moment exploring what is out there beyond her familiar territory. Her family, which consists of an older brother Angelo, a younger brother Michael and her two loving parents Antonio and Francesca. Her parents have taught her many valuable lessons, and have raised her to become an independent woman who lives life to the fullest. She believes that family is the most important aspect in life, she is very family oriented. Along with her family comes her friends that are very close to her heart. She is a girl who is excited for life and to see all that she can accomplish.
Rosa is currently enrolled in course code CMN 2160A Theories of the Media taught by Professor Patrick McCurdy. This course explains many different theories such as "The Two Step Flow" which explains " how ideas travel from mass-media to opinion leaders (step one), and then from opinion leaders to more passive individuals in a given society (step two). ( Laughey, Dan. Key Themes in Media Theory. 2007) The course is helpful when discovering what makes up media using theories formed over time.
