User:Ronnotel/Defense of my contribution to the project

In this comment, Orangemarlin accuses me of being someone who "wants to be an admin, but has barely contributed to the project".

This page responds to this charge, indicating why it is inaccurate, and in my opinion, represents unwarranted contempt.

There are few, if any, editors with more contributions in the area of options and volatility. In fact, in this comment, I am referred to the "best editor in the technical areas of finance" in all of Wikipedia. The commentor happens to be a professor of finance at a prominent university, as well as a past trading professional. In particular, here is a sampling of some of the financial pages I have either initiated or substantially revised:

plus many more articles of somewhat lesser importance.

In addition, I have made major contributions to highly visible articles, such as Virginia Tech massacre and my work to get Rookery Building promoted to GA. My work in copy-editing and anti-vandalism has occasionally been singled out for considerable abuse. However, I have always maintained a reasonable, thoughtful and helpful attitude as can be seen in my responses.

While I certainly recognize the right of anyone to oppose my candidacy for adminship, I believe that at least part of the above referenced comment is unfair in light of my easily demonstrable record of contribution. Ronnotel 13:30, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
