Future reference for self: Image is of the Tower Theater (pre-restoration?), probably while it was still open as a movie theater, taken from the opposite corner, probably in the afternoon, probably during the summer.
Pictures that would probably be good to take and upload:
Merced Lake
Merced College
UC Merced
Main entrance
Dorms
Other major buildings
Major shopping centers
Lowes
Wal-mart
Mall (as well as Target, Blockbuster, and others)
Staples
Circuit City
Raley's
Banks, and financial institutions
Other
Tower Theater (the one being deleted)
Smaller, more cozy shopping centers, and groups of stores
Sun Star (newspaper)
Castle Air Museum (technically, not Merced)
Government
Old courthouse
Zoo
Police department
County building
Anything else that someone who doesn't live here, but may be moving here, or is sending a loved one here might want to know about, and see.
Since the UC is here, and the population is expected to double, I'm sure there are many people who will want to know what's around (or are sending their kids here, and want to know what it's going to be like), and it'd be good for them to see all the *stuff* that's around that might be helpful or interesting, as well as give them a good sense that this is a "nice" place to go that will be a positive experience.
This is the standard template I'll use when uploading (may not be complete if you see this notice).
