Do Khyentse Yeshe Dorje (Wylie: Mdo-Mkhyen-Brtse-Ye-Shes-Rdo-Rje) (1800-1866) was a Tibetean Buddhist Lama from the Nyingma religious sect.

Do Khyentse Yeshe Dorje was born to a nomadic family in 18th Century in the Golok region of the province of Amdo, in Tibet. His father's name was Chokor Sonampel (Wylie: Chos-Skor-Bsod-Nams-'phal) and his mother's name was Tsewang Men (Wylie:Tshe-Dbang-Sman). The 2nd Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche(Wylie: Rdzogs-Chen-Dpon-Slob), Pema Sangngak Tendzin (Wylie:Pe-Ma-Gsang-Sngags-Bstan-'Dzin) and 1st Dodrupchen Rinpoche (Wylie: Rdo-Grub-Chen-Rin-Po-Che), Dodrupchen Jigme Trinle Ozer (Wylie: 'jigs med 'phrin las 'od zer) thought he was the reincarnation of great Buddhist Lama Jigme Lingpa (Wylie: 'jigs med gling pa). Thereafter he started residing at the Tsering Jong (Wylie:Tshe-Ring-Ljongs) monastery। A Buddhist monk called Tendzin Pemai Gyeltsen (Wylie: Bstan-'dzin-pe Ma'i-Rgyal-Mtshan) initiated his rites to Buddhist novice vows. Chopel Zangpo (Wylie: chos dpal bzang po; 2nd Drimé Zhingkyong (Wylie: dri med zhing skyong) Jigme Rigdzin Gonpo (Wylie: 'jigs med rig 'dzin mgon po); Dodrupchen Jigme Trinle Ozer were amongst some of the famous monks who taught him. Do Khyentse Yeshe Dorje established the Buddhist religion in certain regions of Kham.
