The 2013–14 Liga I was the first season, since its reintroduction in 2013, of the second level women's football league of the Romanian football league system. Since the Superliga became the top-tier women's league in Romania, Liga I became the name of the second-tier league. 14 teams divided in 2 series played in the competition that consisted of a double round-robin lasting 14 stages, totaling 112 matches.[1] However, since 2 teams withdrew, the remaining 12 teams played a total of 62 matches.

UTA Arad and Navobi Alba-Iulia were dissolved in the summer of 2013, so they did join this edition of the league.
