Painted rocks

Painting rocks is a fun way to get outdoors, explore your community and create smiles one painted rock at a time. Rocks are colorfully painted and hidden in plain sight to unexpectedly brighten someone’s day as a random act of kindness in hopes the finder passes on their good vibes to others in an effort to make the world a kinder place.  Communities are joined together through social media, primarily Facebook Groups for painters to post their creations to inspire others and for finders to post and share the excitement of their found rock. Rocks are re-hidden to pass on the kindness and to create chain reactions of kindness. Rocks contain a label which identifies the group where the painted rock came from and where the finder can post and follow the painted rock’s travels by searching the painter’s hashtag.
