Rabbit In Hat Magic Shop is a classic old time magic shop in tiny Locust Grove, OK. There are fewer and fewer brick and mortar magic shops in the country today, but this magic shop, just opened in 2018, has the look and feel of a magic shop from the 1920s.

Most small towns do not have a booming business center, especially small towns in the middle of nowhere, Oklahoma. Locust Grove might not be experiencing record growth, but this new magic shop is going to put it on the map. The owner, Clark May, has gone all out in building an amazing store that's not only beautiful, but very magical in all the details. He and his wife Marcia travel all over the country looking for just the right pieces of art and decor for the shop. Whether it's custom wallpaper from New Orleans, antique rabbits from all around the country, a collection of antique glass topmast, vintage magic posters from all over the world, and countless custom details, this unique magic shop is something that needs to be seen whether you're a magician or not. In the back of the shop is a brand new classic magic theater. This premium performance space is one that every magician will want to perform in. The magician's lounge has all the books magicians want to read in a space that's literally been built as a "magician's hangout" space.

The shop has been built from the ground up in a space that's been magically transformed from an old run-down storefront into one of the most unique retail spaces in the country. Listed in the atlas obscura, this one-of-a-kind magic shop carries not only tricks for beginners, classics of magic, and books, but magic props and items for seasoned pros.

It's off the beaten path at 211 East Main in Locust Grove, about 45 minutes southeast of Tulsa, but its' worth the drive. From magic, to novelties, to unique items of interest, it's like visiting an "olde tyme magic shoppe" stepping back in time and seeing a great museum of incredible details and curiosities. From the custom made gold plated rabbits to the marble floors in the bathroom to the antique chandeliers and more, there's really not a nicer place within 100 miles.
