The Fall of the Giants is a large fresco by the Italian Renaissance artist Giulio Romano. It is located in the southern corner of the Palazzo del Te in Mantua, Italy in the Sala dei Giganti. Romano worked on this fresco from 1532 to 1534. It depicts the myth of the Gigantomachy, the battle between the Olympian gods, led by Jupiter, and the giants. Romano's source for this story was Ovid's Metamorphoses.[1]
