Born in Canterbury, England in 1979, Rick left school early to pursue his career in music by studying at G.I.T (Guitar Institute of Technology) in London...He then went onto do further studies in Audio Engineering at the SAE Institute.
In 1998 Rick started working for the Film Music record label Silva Screen Records. Rick is responsible for most the mastering and editing work for Silva Screens numerous albums, and produced his first album in 2003 called Jazz in Film performed by The National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
In 2005, Rick formed his own record label called Mellowdrama records.
