Disclosure Statement edit

I want to disclose that I am the same user as Richard.sutt, an account attached to an email address I lost access to just before starting my undergraduate education. Today (02/06/23), I regained access by finally guessing my old password and changed its status to "retired". I created that account when I was a very young (newly 14) dinosaur enthusiast and highly inexperienced with editing Wikipedia. In addition to being completely unaware of the WikiProject rules around dubious taxa etc. (while also being unaware that people were even responding to my edits since I had no idea how to see this), I made several mistakes, including adding copyrighted images to Dysganus (an article I did improve in all fairness to my younger self) and mistakenly editing taxon identifier codes on ornithomimosaur pages while trying to add taxonomy templates, as I believe they are called. In addition to this, I occasionally added non-constructive edits because of a lack of thorough research. Or I tried and failed to make constructive edits, or even entire pages, due to an inability to work with Wikipedia's code competently. After falling under review for my severe errors, while also being suspected as a sock-puppet of former vandals, I cleared things up with admins [1] (you'll be reading for a while, there was much debate as to whether or not I was a vandal or just catastrophically inexperienced and it was justified indeed) and started to learn how to edit correctly and constructively from thereon until May 2022. I intend to be as productive as possible with this account, so far having only a minor conflict related to an edit war I quickly disengaged from after being advised about the rules of conduct and the regulations regarding nomina nuda (which I assure you will not happen again). I hope that the admins have found, and will find my edits helpful and productive from here on out.

All the best,

RS
