Masayuki Sono is the architect who created The Postcards 911 Memorial sculpture on Staten Island, New York City.
Education and Career
editHe received his Master of Architecture from the University of Washington and Kobe University, then went on to work for Voorsanger & Associates in New York.[1] He currently has his own architectural firm and is working on another 911 responders memorial.[2] He has been a visiting assistant professor at the Pratt Institute School of Architecture.[3] He won the design competition held by the borough of Staten Island in early 2003 to build a 911 memorial for its dead citizens.[4]
