Effie Rhodes Bell
Biography
editIn 1991 Effie Rhodes Bell and her sister, Hazel Rhodes Reece, were the first quilters to receive the N.C. Heritage Award. She was from Pender County, North Carolina [1]. Her work was featured in the book North Carolina Quilts, which was published by UNC Press in 1989.
