Dr M Aamer Sarfraz He is a clinical and research psychiatrist based in Kent and at the Institute of Psychiatry, London (1). He is a senior lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University. He is also a Director of Medical Education at the KSS Deanery (HEKSS). He hails from Lyallpur in Pakistan. He was educated at DPS (Lyallpur), GC (Lahore) & PMC (Faisalabad) before training and qualifying as a psychiatrist from the Maudsley & Farnborough Hospitals and the Institute of Psychiatry, London. He has published articles on drug/alcohol abuse and other psychiatric disorders & issues in peer-reviewed journals (2,8,9). He has written three books (3). He writes on sociorelgiopolitical issues in newspapers and magazines (4). He seems to be a bit of a political activist; appears in the media from time to time to comment on issues related to Pakistan. Reportedly, he advises the Punjab Government on various issues without any political binding. He champions the cause of Lyallpur (advocates changing Faisalabd to its orignal name - Lyallpur) and is engaged in charitable activities related to education and health over there. He is founder chairman of Lyallpur Museum and founder principal/ project director of Divisional Model School, Faisalabad. He is also a visiting honorary professor at Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad.
