History

edit

Mechtronix was created in 1987 when Canada's National Research Council (NRC) launched a research program at Concordia University in Montreal to develop a simulator using microprocessors. Mechtronix started as a provider of twin turboprop flight trainer for the European Market. Mechtronix has since broadened its product line to include simulators for helicopter and larger commercial aircraft.[1].

In 2004, Mechtronix entered the FFS market with an order of one 737-800 FFS from its launched customer CAFUC in China [2].
