The approach taken by User:Rednblu to Wikipedia discussions and editing leads some Wikipedians to believe the Rednblu account is not being operated by a person whose beliefs are represented in good faith at User:Rednblu. This page exists to support the insistence of User:Rednblu that his point of view is as he states. Feel free to add supportive statements here. I, Tom Haws (my real life name), assert that I have knowledge of semi-private facts that indicate to my satisfaction this version [1] of User:Rednblu is a good faith expression of belief by the person who operates the Rednblu account. At the very least, I can certify that in his real professional life, User:Rednblu appears the atheist every bit as he does at Wikipedia, and argues favorably for religious points of view in much the same way as at Wikipedia. As User:Rednblu prefers to maintain general separation between his real life identity and his Rednblu identity, I will not provide any direct references. But I list below in general terms the basis for my knowledge. To avoid confusion, I will use the name IRLRednblu to denote what is by presumption the In Real Life person behind Rednblu.
- IRLRednblu has published with colleagues enough material to demonstrate obviously his atheistic views. Some of it is available on the World Wide Web as of the time I am writing this.
- I am in possession of an e-mail to me dated 2005-04-04 from a receptionist at the real life workplace of Rednblu. In that e-mail, IRLRednblu's receptionist provided an e-mail address and telephone number for contacting Rednblu. I e-mailed IRLRednblu and received verification that he operates the User:Rednblu account at Wikipedia.
- There is a published article on the World Wide Web (projecting a very atheistic attitude) that is attributed to IRLRednblu and a colleague, and that has one "rednblu@....com" listed as the contact for feedback.
